Lucky Charms

52” x 69”

Do you remember that store in the mall: Things Remembered? Where you engraved something on a gold plated trinket so you had a Thing to help you Remember? Well, I loved that place and its promise to preserve your moments in a convenient physical capsule. Recently, I found a string of old charms in my closet, which of course contained decades of treasured moments. But, GASP! The string snapped, the charms flew everywhere, and I found I couldn’t remember what a single one of them had immortalized! Devastated, I made this quilt to safely preserve in physical form the memory of that moment when my charms failed to preserve all my precious memories.
