Two houseplants, both alike in dignity, in fair California, where we lay our scene. From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where far too many monsteras and fiddle leafs convene. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed houseplants take their life… and doth with their death cause Emily much strife. (The fallen members of my houseplant families are represented by the Xs, and I like to wax poetic as I water the survivors.)
